Why I'm finally downsizing from my dream home: They were a Hollywood golden couple, but a decade after Susan George's husband died in her arms, she reveals she's waving goodbye to her Somerset farmhouse idyll

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 11, 2024
From the large picture windows in my drawing room is a view of my beautiful secret garden. There, once-tiny shrubs filled an empty space when Simon and I (pictured together left) bought this farmhouse some 24 years ago. And the one that matters most to me now is as lush and wide as it is tall; a pine tree that stands some 25 feet high. It's hard to believe that in 2008 it was covered with baubles and twinkling lights, a Christmas tree with presents stacked underneath and in this very room.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Sir Tim Rice's personal life is even more colourful than the plot of any of his musicals

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: His celebrated works include Evita, Chess, and The Lion King, but Sir Tim Rice's personal life is much more colorful than any of his musicals' plot. And now I hear that the Oscar-winning lyricist has fallen in love with glamorous literary agent Caroline Michel. They are London's new power couple,' claims one of their acquaintances. They've been to a variety of parties and cultural events together in recent weeks, and it's been lovely for people to see that they're together.'

Even on dates and in private moments, actress Susan George called King Charles' "Sir" on the radio

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 7, 2023
Charles was allowed to play football after his first true love, Camilla Shand, married Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973. Susan George, the star of 1971 film Straw Dogs, was one of the few people to enjoy intimate dinner dates. Susan also called the prince 'Sir' at their most intimate moments, according to an informed source who was very close to her at the time. To family and friends, she referred to him as her "most mate" even though she denied there had been a relationship. Barbra Streisand, an actress who had a close relationship with him in 1974, was another actress Charles greatly admired. He recently told a radio show that they had first met when he was a lieutenant in the Royal Navy, and that his ship had docked in San Diego, California, where he had first met when he first appeared.
