Surbhi Jyoti (born 29 May 1988) is an Indian television actress best known for her portrayal of Zoya in Qubool Hai and Bela/Shravani in Naagin 3.

Early life

Jyoti was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. She began her early education at Shiv Jyoti Public School and then graduated from Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. She was active in debates and was honoured as a student of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Surbhi graduated from Apeejay College of Fine Arts with a degree in Economics and a Master's degree in English Literature.

Career

Jyoti began her career in regional theatre and films. She has also worked as a radio jockey. She appeared in Punjabi language films Ik Kudi, Raula Pai Gaya, and Munde Patiala De, as well as the Punjabi television series Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na and Kach Diyan Wanga.

Jyoti became a member of the Qubool Hai television series, which was produced by 4 Lions Films and was telecasted on Zee television in 2012. Zoya Farooqui was a fictional actress who portrayed her role. She received the award for her portrayal of the character. At the Zee Gold Awards 2013, the female performer of the year and Best Début Actress. With Karan Singh Grover, she also received two Best Jodi awards. Qubool Hai underwent a revival in 2014, in which she appeared in Sanam and Seher in two separate roles. In an annual poll conducted by UK-based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye, she ranked 16th in 2014.

Meiyang Chang appeared on three seasons of the love drama Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. Karanvir Bohra and Jyoti were named Best Onscreen Jodi Award at the Zee Gold Awards 2015 in Barcelona. Qubool Hai's fifth appearance on the program in 2015, she took the lead in Mahira. In an annual survey conducted by UK-based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye, she ranked 17th in 2015. In January 2016, Qubool Hai's show came to an end. She and several other television stars appeared on a travel-based web show Desi Explorers Taiwan in 2016. Geetanjali Singh Shekhari, a young girl from a royal family, appeared on Star Plus' psychological thriller show Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai in 2017.
