Steven Robert Weber (born March 4, 1961) is an American actor.

He is best known for his role on the television show Wings, from October 1990 to May 1997, and in Once and Again, as Brian Hackett.

As Vaughn du Clark, he appeared on iZombie as a veteran actor.

On NCIS: New Orleans, he portrays Mayor Douglas Hamilton in a recurring role.

Early life

In Queens, New York, Weber was born. Fran (née Frankel) was a nightclub performer and manager of Borscht Belt comedians, as well as Stuart Weber. Despite not having received a formal religious education, Weber embraces his Jewish roots. Weber graduated from the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan (1979) and the State University of New York at Purchase.

Personal life

Finn Carter, a British actress, was married to Weber from 1985 to 1992.

Juliette Hohnen, then the Los Angeles bureau chief for MTV News, married him in 1995, and they married on July 29 at Highclere Castle in Berkshire, England. After 18 years of marriage, Hohnen filed for divorce on February 6, 2013. Both of the couple have two sons.

Weber is a member of the Democratic Party.

In the third grade, the Weber first appeared in television commercials. After leaving college, he became a member of the Mirror Repertory Company and appeared in "Paradise Lost" opposite legendary actress Geraldine Page and Mason Adams before winning a role as Julianne Moore's ill-tempered and ill-fated boyfriend on CBS daytime drama As the World Turns in 1985-1981. He appeared in a number of motion pictures and TV mini-series, including The Flamingo Kid, Hamburger Hill, and The Kennedys of Massachusetts (as young John F. Kennedy).

Brian Hackett, a skirt-chasing airplane pilot on the sitcom Wings, is his best-known role. Many years later, Weber appeared in his own short-lived half-hour comedy Cursed (later referred to The Weber Show) on ABC's Once and Again as the tortured artist Sam Blue, and appeared on ABC's Once and Again as the tortured artist and starred in the acclaimed film The D.A., as well as ABC's. In the 1990s hit films Single White Female and Jeffrey, Weber appeared as lead actor.

Weber appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing, and Matthew Broderick took over as Leo Bloom in the Broadway revival of The Producers in 2001-2002. He appeared alongside Kevin Spacey in London at the Old Vic's production of National Anthems in 2005. In addition, Weber wrote and produced 2003's Clubland, a Showtime film in which he and Alan Alda played father and son talent agents in 1950s New York City (for which Alda was nominated for an Emmy).

He also narrated King's novel It's audiobook version. In 1998, he played wisecracking Alsatian Charlie B. Barkin in An All Dogs Christmas Carol, a role he played in 1996 in All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series.

Tony Shalhoub, a former Wings co-star, appeared on Monk in a guest appearance. In the same year, Weber appeared as network boss Jack Rudolph in NBC's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Weber appeared in Alliance Group Entertainment's film Farm House in 2008, where he played Samael, a mysterious vineyard owner. Graham Finch, a business specialist, appeared on Brothers and Sisters as a guest on the drama series Brothers and Sisters. Jack Spencer, Shawn Spencer's uncle, and Henry Spencer's brother appeared on Psych as Jack Spencer, Shawn Spencer's uncle. In 2008, he appeared on Desperate Housewives. On the CBS crime drama Without a Trace's 2008-2009 season, Weber appeared as a recurring guest.

He appeared on ABC's Happy Town and played a major role in the TV film A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner! He appeared in the live action film "Hugh J. Magnate Jr." Stephen King's It was narrated by him in an unbridged audio book. Many characters on the Disney XD animated series Ultimate Spider-Man appeared on Weber from 2012 to 2017.
