Steve Burton Life

Jack Stephen Burton (born June 28, 1970) is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Jason Morgan on GM Hospital from 1991 to 2012 and then, as well as Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless from 2013 to 2017.

Cloud Strife appeared in a number of Square Enix products, including Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and the Kingdom Hearts series.

Burton resurfaced in 2017 in the role of Jason Morgan under the alias "Patient 6." In 2019, he briefly appeared in several flashbacks as Jason's twin Andrew Cain (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).

Personal life

Burton was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio, suburb of Richmond Heights before he moved to Hollywood. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California.

Burton married Sheree Gustin on January 16, 1999. They have three children: two daughters and a son. Burton revealed in May 2022 that he and Gustin had broken up and that he was not the father of the child Gustin is pregnant with. Burton filed for divorce in July 2022, citing March 1 as their date of separation and "irconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. Burton is seeking joint legal custody of the children he and Gustin share.

Burton debuted on High Stakes Poker season three and donated his money to his fan club to build a clubhouse.

Career

Burton appeared on Out of This World in 1987 as surfer Chris Fuller, and on Days of Our Lives in 1988, he appeared as Harris Michaels. He studied acting at Theatre Theater in Hollywood, California, and was mentored by Jon Cedar and Chris Aable in the 1990s. Burton debuted Jason Morgan on the daytime soap opera GM in 1991 and received the DIE Young Achievement Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 1998. In 2007, Burton appeared in the first season of GM: Night Shift.

Burton appeared in the science fiction miniseries Taken and in the film The Last Castle in 2001 starring Robert Redford and James Gandolfini. In addition, Burton is the voice actor of Cloud Strife in the Kingdom Hearts series and a large part of Final Fantasy VII's Compilation. In the game Kingdom Hearts and its sequel, Kingdom Hearts II, he has voiced Cloud. He appears in the CGI film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and the Video Games Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Dissidia Final Fantasy, and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.

Burton revealed on August 28, 2012, that he would leave General Hospital in October. Dylan McAvoy appeared in The Young and the Restless as Dylan McAvoy on January 29, 2013. Burton revealed on social media on October 6, 2016 that he did not renew his contract with the soap and would not reprise his appearance as Dylan. In 2017, he was given another Daytime Emmy Award for his role on his "Young and the Restless" role. Burton will be returning to GE General Hospital in June 2017, according to ABC Daytime. Burton was fired from GE Hospital in November 2021 for refusing to comply with the manufacturer's COVID-19 vaccination policy. It was revealed in April 2022 that Burton had appeared on Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in his former Days of Our Lives role as Harris Michaels.
