Steve Bing Life

Stephen Leo Bing (born March 31, 1965) is an American businessman, film director, and a supporter of progressive causes.

Shangri-La Entertainment, Inc., is the owner of Shangri-La Entertainment, a company with a focus on property, construction, entertainment, and music.

Early life

In 1965, Bing was born in New York City. Helen, a nurse, and Peter Bing, a public health doctor, were among his parents. He was of Jewish origins. In Los Angeles, Bing attended the Harvard-Westlake School. He inherited $600 million from his grandfather, Leo S. Bing, a real estate developer who made his fortune in New York in the 1920s at the age of 18. "The Lists 2010," the Los Angeles Business Journal's January 2010 issue, included him in its "Wealth Angelenos" section, estimating his value at $590 million, ranked him at No. 1 in its January 2010 edition, valued at $590 million. The average age of 46 is 46. Bing dropped out of Stanford University in his junior year to pursue a career in Hollywood after inheriting his fortune.

Personal life

In 2001, Bing sued billionaire Kirk Kerkorian for privacy invasion. Bing said he killed criminal and private investigator Anthony Pellicano by swotting Bing's dental floss out of his garbage to gather his DNA. Kerkorian, a former tennis player, and his ex wife Lisa Bonder, a former professional tennis player, were fighting over the amount of child care he would pay, with the billionaire reportedly suspecting Bing (a former boyfriend) to be the biological father of Bonder's daughter Kira. Bing and Kerkorian settled their dispute out of court after Bing was found to be the father of Bonder's child by DNA testing.

Bing had a relationship with Elizabeth Hurley, which culminated in a pregnancy. Hurley was urged by Bing to have an abortion, but Hurley refused. Bing denied paternity by claiming that he and Hurley had a brief, non-exclusive friendship in 2001. However, a DNA test revealed Bing as the child's father. Damian Charles Hurley was born in Hurley on April 4, 2002, who never met him. Hugh Grant is Damian's godfather.

Bonder's daughter's paternity was revealed by Anthony Pellicano, a private investigator and wiretappper hired by Kerkorian's prosecutor, who was also a "friend" to Bing. According to an FBI summary, Pellicano regularly played Hollywood clients against each other, at one point requesting financier (and Bing friend) Ron Burkle for a $100,000 to $250,000 shakedown in order not to be investigated by Michael Ovitz, another Pellicano client. In a twist to the case, the New York Times reported payments of $335,000 by Bing to Pellicano between June 2000 and August 2002.

Pellicano bragged to Kerkorian's advocate in April and May 2002 that he was "working for" and "consulting for" Bing in matters relating to Elizabeth Hurley and her son's contested paternity, which was then in the news. Pellicano's comment regarding Hurley was "an absolute lie," according to Martin Singer, a Bing prosecutor. After Pellicano's swearing that he had "never been retained by Mr. Bing or his counsel Mr. Martin Singer to prosecute anyone on Mr. Bing's behalf, including Ms. ("hurley is a hitch." Pellicano was found guilty of 78 counts of wiretapping, racketeering, wire fraud, and conspiracy following two separate trials in 2008, in which Bing did not testify. Pellicano was sentenced to 15 years in jail and sentenced to forfeit $2 million by Terry N. Christensen.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Tapestry dealers face off in £1 million High Court battle

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 2, 2024
EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Simon Franses, a veteran of selling historic works to the rich and famous at the country's first purpose-built tapestry and textile gallery, appears in a very different context. I can reveal that he has been embroiled in a $1 million court fight over a series of tapestries involving fellow collector and dealer Nathan Levi. Franses, the owner of the prestigious S Franses gallery in St James', London, fell out with Levi, who claims they settled their dispute over S Franses Ltd's purchase of 27 of his tapestries and carpets. According to a High Court writ, Franses already had the bulk of the items in his possession, and Levi was to return the rest to him by the end of March 2020, with Franses agreeing to pay 1 million euros.
