Carson said that pop music and artists who "tell stories by their songs" inspires her most, and that twentieth-century acts like The Beatles and Michael Jackson, as well as contemporary artists like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift have influenced her.

On February 28, 2021, she hosted the Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Revlon introduced One Heart, a new fragrance for Carson in April 2021. In 2022, she worked with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation to fund a bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music.
