Sofi Mkheyan, born 1984, is an Armenian singer and winner of the Best Newcomer award at the Armenian National Music Awards in Yerevan.Sofi began performing in Do Re Mi school and studied in Sayat Nova Music School.
She graduated from Romanos Melikian College and now works at Yerevan State Conservatory. "Im Enger," "Ser," "Nayir Im Achkerin," a duet with Sirusho that was titled "Arjani E," and her hit single "Ore Yev Nerkan," which was developed and produced by DerHova, are among her first album's 10 songs, including "Im Enger," "Ser," "Ser," "Im Enger," "Nayir Im Achkerin."

Early life
Mkheyan was born in Yerevan, the niece of Parliament member Gagik Mkheyan, who served as the Vice President of Orinats Yerkir in the 1990s. Gord is her name. She has one brother. She began performing at the Domi Vocal Studio and later Sayat Music School and Romanos Melikyan Musical College in Yerevan. She then enrolled in Yerevan's Komitas State Conservatory.
Personal life
She is both politically active and patriotic. She took part in a demonstration against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision to sign a peace treaty in response to the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region in 2020.
Career
In 2005, Mkheyan was named Best Newcomer at the Armenian National Music Awards; Best Modern Pop Female in 2009; and Best Female Singer in 2010.
She has released four albums, including Kyanke Qo, Luys Khavarum, 2012, and The Best of Sofi Mkheyan, as well as a slew of singles as of 2022. DerHova is a regular performer, and she has worked with singers such as Sirusho and Vigen Hovsepyan. "Ore Yev Nerkan," a single later added to Kyange Qo, received the Hit of the Year award at the Armenian National Music Awards in 2007. In 2012, she made a music video for Hayastani erge (Armenia's Song), her first patriotic song; the video was shot in both Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
Between 2012 and 2017, she judged and supervised for The Voice of Armenia; fellow judges included Arame, Nune Yesayan, and Sevak Khanagyan.
