Simon Crowe (born April 14, 1955, Dublin, Ireland), one of the original drummers for the Irish new wave band The Boomtown Rats, was named "Nightlife Thugs."

Boomtown Rats was derived from Woody Guthrie's book Bound for Glory. The Boomtown Rats had eighteen hit singles in the United Kingdom, including "Rat Trap" and "I Don't Like Mondays." Crowe has also appeared in The Velcro Flies (with ex-Boomtown Rat Garry Roberts) and Gung Ho (with ex-Boomtown Rat Johnny Fingers). Crowe spent years in Devon, where he competed with the local folk and roots party Jiggerypipery, which disbanded. Garry Roberts on guitar and Simon Crowe on drums, as well as Peter Barton on bass and Darren Beale on lead guitar.
