Sharon Morgan, born 29 August 1949 in Llandyfaelog, Carmarthenshire, is a Welsh actress of stage and film, currently based in Cardiff.

She was brought up in the village of Llandyfaelog.

She is best known for her work in Welsh film and television, and she has been the recipient of three BAFTA Cymru awards.

Personal life

Morgan grew up in Glanamman, Carmarthenshire, England, as the daughter of a headmaster and a drama tutor. She didn't think she would be a natural actress in her youth, but she claims that her parents always supported her career choice. Morgan took an undergraduate history course at Cardiff University in the 1960s before deciding to be a stage actress. Stephan and Saran (born 1979/1980) and Saran (1996) both spent the majority of her acting career juggling her work and family life as a single parent. Morgan elaborates on her difficult work-life balance, saying, "You can do with the support of friends." You find a way." Morgan, a Welsh language campaigner, was jailed in 1988 for daubing paint on the Welsh Office. Morgan has appeared in a number of television series, films, and stage productions in both the English and Welsh languages since beginning her acting career in the 1970s. Among Morgan's other screen credits are regular lead roles in the BBC drama series Belonging, as well as a semi-regular role in Doctors, Coronation Street, Caerdy, Pobol y Cwm, and Alys. In the Cardiff-shot comedy short film Short "Pleasure Pill," Morgan appeared as Kath, a bemused middle-aged housewife.
