Shane Peacock, a Canadian novelist, playwright, editor, and television screenwriter.

William Leonard Hunt's first book The Great Farini was a biography of the colourful Canadian singer The Great Farini.

His plays have been produced by the 4th Line Theatre; his documentaries have included Team Spirit, which aired on the CTV national network; and Separated, its prequel. The Boy Sherlock Holmes Holmes, his best-selling youth series, has been published in ten countries in ten languages and has appeared on more than forty shortlists.

It received the prestigious IODE Violet Downey Book Award, two Arthur Ellis Awards for crime fiction, the Ruth and Sylvia Schwartz Children's Book Award, the Libris Award, and three times nominated for the TD Canada Children's Literature Award.

Each book in the series was also selected as a Junior Library Guild Premier Selection.

The Artist and Me, his first picture book, debuted in 2016 and quickly became a Junior Library Guild pick, Blue Spruce Award winner, and Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award nominee.
