Serayah Ranee McNeill (born June 20, 1995) is an American actress, model, and singer best known for her appearance on the television show Empire as singer Tiana Brown.

Early life

Serayah Ranee McNeill was born in Encinitas, California. She graduated from Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California, where she competed for the girls' varsity basketball team in 2013.

Acting career

Tiana on Empire is her first major acting role. Serayah said of her role in a 2015 interview with Black Enterprise: "One thing I always say about this show is that it's a lot of drama, but it's a family drama so families can relate." Every family has some sort of drama, and I suspect that it has something to do with a lot of the entertainment industry and the music industry. While there are some exaggerated parts, it does illustrate some of the things that happen." On August 26, 2015, she was introduced to the series's regular cast.

Serayah appeared on Black Mafia Family in a recurring role in March 2021.

Musical career

Serayah appeared in singer Taylor Swift's video for the song "Bad Blood" as the character Dilemma in 2015. Swift performed a version of her song "Style" alongside McNeill on her first appearance on the Chicago leg of her The 1989 World Tour on July 18, 2015. In March 2015, she appeared at the Marshall Academy of the Arts in Long Beach. Enrique Iglesias, R. City, and Shaggy appeared in the RedOne song "Don't You Need Somebody" in 2016, which also features Enrique Iglesias, R. City, and Shaggy. Addicted was her first EP in 2018. She appeared in Chris Brown's music video for "Undecided" in 2019. The appeared in the 2022 music video by Diddy feat. Bryson Tiller - Gotta Move On.
