Sean Gunn (born May 22, 1974) is an American actor.

He is best known for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) as Kirk Gleason (2000–2007) and Kraglin.

Avengers: Endgame (2018) and 2 (2017).

He is the younger brother of director James Gunn and appears in his sibling's films often.

Personal life

Sean Gunn was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the youngest of six children. He is the brother of filmmaker James Gunn, actor and political writer Matt Gunn, producer and former Executive Vice President of Artisan Entertainment Patrick, as well as Beth, a sister who works as an employment attorney. Leota and James F. Gunn, a former partner and corporate advocate with the law firm Thompson Coburn in St. Louis, are their parents.

Gunn and his brothers all attended Jesuit St. Louis University High School, where he graduated in 1992. He graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 1996.

Gunn is married to Natasha Halevi, a film producer and actress.

In 1995, Gunn appeared in the B movie Tromeo and Juliet as Sammy Capulet. He appeared in the second episode of Gilmore Girls as Mick, a DSL cable installer. Gunn was brought back to play Kirk Gleason, one of Stars Hollow's most eccentric residents, as the first season wound. Gunn was a regular cast member of the show from 2002 to the end of the series in 2007. He appeared on October Road as Rooster, as well.

Despite being best known for his regular Gilmore Girls appearance, he also has several television show guest appearances, including Angel; 3rd Rock from the Sun; True Jackson, VP; and Bunheads. Gunn can also be seen in commercials as a "agent" for KGB.com, a text message information service. Gunn has appeared in various films, the most notable being "Alien Orphanage/Doug" in The Specials, for which he also received a co-producer award.

Gunn appeared in the film The Man Who Invented the Moon, directed by fellow Goodman School of Drama alum and Gilmore Girls cast member John Cabrera in 2003. Since their school days in Chicago in the mid-nineties, Gunn and Cabrera have been close artistic colleagues.

He's a creator and actor in James Gunn's spoof-porn film's PG Porn.' On the Nickelodeon show True Jackson VP, he served as a computer repair man for a brief time. Gunn appeared in a number of television commercials for the Knowledge Generation Bureau. He appeared in the 2010 film Super, written and directed by his brother James.

Sean is also the voice actor behind Swan's character in Warner Brothers' video game Lollipop Chainsaw, which was also written by his brother James.

In the season 4 episode "Makeover" of Glee as committee member Phineas Hayes, Gunn appeared.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, he provided performance capture for Rocket's character and appeared in the role of Kraglin, Yondu Udonta's second-in-command.

In the episode "The Corpse at the Convention," he appeared in Bones on Fox in 2014. In 2017, he reprised his role as Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a larger presence in the film, and has also provided a performance capture for Rocket's character.
