Early life
Malakul Lane was born in Guam to a Scottish father, Alastair Lane, and Thapthim Malakul na Ayudhaya. She is a member of the Chakri dynasty, Thailand's current reigning dynasty, thanks to her mother. Mom Luang Pikthip Malakul, her mother's father, was a diplomat who served in Thailand, Myanmar, and the United Kingdom; Pikthip Malakul's grandfather, Rama II of Siam, was one of many children. Following the royal act that banned the use of surnames, King Vajiravudh bestowed Malakul to his family. She grew up between the United Kingdom and Bangkok, where she attended NIST International School. She now lives in Singapore.
