Career

Mamee's first film role was as the protagonist of the 2001 horror film Mae bia (Snake Lady), in which she played a woman with a symbiotic relationship with a cobra. She appeared in Butterfly Man, an Anglo-Thai film directed by Kaprice Kea, in which she portrayed a typical Thai masseuse who becomes the love object for a young British backpacker, as depicted by Stuart Laing. It was her first English-speaking role.

Mamee appeared in Art of the Devil 2, a drama in which she portrayed a teacher at a rural school where a cruel prank was played on her by some students. She gets her revenge by learning black magic and using it on her former students. She was nominated for best actress by the Bangkok Critics Assembly for her role in Art of the Devil 2. She was also selected for best supporting actress for the Thailand National Film Awards, but she had to have the nomination withdraw due to widespread opposition.

Mamee was shot in a Thai film called Ma-Mee (Three Friends), a partially fictional docu-drama in which she and two of her bikini-clad girlfriends (Jitraporn Panit and Penporn Poonsaem) visited an island for a video shoot, with the camera following their lives both on the set and off.

Hunt Hoe, a Malaysian-Canadian filmmaker, was included in the cast of the 2006 Canadian horror comedy 1st Bite.

In 2008, she appeared in Art of the Devil 3 for the first time.
