Sai Pallavi Senthamarai is an Indian film actress and dancer who appears in Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil films.

She has received many accolades, including two Filmfare Awards for her appearances in the films Premam and Fidaa.

Sai Pallavi first came to national prominence as Malar in the 2015 Malayalam film Premam.

In the film Kali (2016), she appeared alongside Dulquer Salmaan.

In the 2017 romantic film Fidaa, she appeared with Varun Tej on her debut in Telugu.

And when Fidaa was shown on television, it was the highest TRP rating ever seen even as the fifth time.

Early life and education

Sai Pallavi was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on May 9th. He was born in 1992 in a Badaga tribal family. In the Tamil Nadu's Nilgiris district, she is Kotagiri. She is a student at Senthamarai Kannan and Radha, and Pooja is her younger sister, who has also worked as an actress. She was born and educated in Coimbatore and attending Avila Convent School.

Despite completing her medical studies at Tbilisi State Medical University, which is recognized by the Medical Council of India, she hasn't yet registered as a medical practitioner (doctor) in India. She completed her Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in Trichy on August 31, 2020. Pallavi can also speak fluently in Dialogues such as Tamil, English, Hindi, and Georgian languages. Following a career in her own cinema, she later discovered Malayalam and Telugu.

Pallavi said in an interview that although she wasn't a certified dancer, she still wanted to do something that involved dancing. She appeared in many cultural festivals at school, gaining a following as a dancer. She appeared on Vijay TV in 2008 and was a finalist in the Dhee Ultimate Dance Show (D4) on ETV in 2009 due to her passion for dance, which was sponsored by her mother.

Pallavi appeared in uncredited roles as a child actor in Kasthuri Maan (2005) and Dhoom (2008).

When she was attending Tbilisi, Georgia, film-director Alphonse Puthren offered her the role of Malar in his film Premam. She shot the film over the holidays and then returned to her studies after the shooting concluded. She continued to win many "Best Female Debut" awards this year, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

She took a month off from school to appear in her second film, Kali, which came out in March 2016. Anjali, a young woman who must cope with her husband's traumatic anger issues, was nominated for the Best Actress title in Malaysia by the Filmfare Award.

In the role of Bhanumathi, a feisty village girl from Telangana, Sekhar Kammula's Fidaa, the year 2017 marked her debut in Telugu. By Film Companion, her appearance in the film is rated as one of the "100 Greatest Performances of the Decade" in the film. She went on to win her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu. Diya, which is a Tamil–Telugu bilingual film, was her next project with director A. L. Vijay, and it had an average run at the box office. Later, she appeared in Maari 2, a Tamil film directed by Balaji Mohan, a sequel to Maari (2015). "Rowdy Baby" a film, is India's most viewed song on YouTube.

Pallavi began shooting for the film Padi Padi Leche Manasu with Sharwanand in February 2018, which was a huge commercial loss. Many news outlets reported in December that she refused to receive her full compensation, expressing sympathy with the producers for the film's failure. In the psychological thriller Athiran opposite Fahadh Faasil, she played an autistic child.

In 2020, Forbes magazine named her one of India's top 30 under 30. She was the only person from the film industry to be included in the list. She also appeared in a Netflix anthology film series Paava Kadhaigal's segment Oor Iravu directed by Vetrimaaran. She appeared in Love Stories alongside Naga Chaitanya in her second collaboration with Sekhar Kammula after Fidaa (2017) and Shyam Singa Roy opposite Nani in their second collaboration after MCA. In 2022, she appeared in Telugu film Virata Parvam opposite Rana Dagbati. In both Telugu and Kannada, she dubbed her own lines in her Tamil film Gargi. In the Lokesh-directed Thalapathy 67 film, she appeared opposite Thalapathy Vijay.
