Roz Kelly (born July 29, 1943) is an American actress best known for her appearance on Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli's (Henry Winkler) girlfriend Carol "Pinky" Tuscadero on the television program Happy Days.

Personal life

Kelly was born in Mount Vernon, New York.

After a car alarm alert woke her up, she was arrested on November 29, 1998, firing a 12-gauge shotgun into the living room window of a neighbor's home; she also shot the neighbor's car and another nearby. At the time, the neighbor was not home. She was sentenced to three years in jail for refusing to plead no contest to the charge of firing into the house on October 20, 2000. She was also ordered to receive psychiatric assistance and wage restitution as a result of the probation department's directive.

After pleaded "no contest" to charges stemming from an August 20, 2000, arrest for striking a man with her cane, she was sentenced to 120 days in jail on October 27, 2000. She was given credit for the 98 days she had already spent in prison awaiting sentencing, avoiding having to spend any more time in prison.

Roz Kelly worked as a staff photographer for New York Magazine, photographing unknowns and celebrities, including Jimi Hendrix, Soupy Sales, Andy Warhol, Cream, Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond, and photographer Diane Arbus.

Kelly played Carol "Pinky" Tuscadero, the older sister of Leather Tuscadero who was played by singer Suzi Quatro on Happy Days. Carol insisted on being referred to as "Pinky" and that she was usually dressed in appropriate attire to match. After her debuts in episodes 64–66, Pinky was supposed to be Fonzie's long-term girlfriend; commercials for the upcoming season even began promoting the character. Her character was only briefly mentioned in two subsequent episodes when discord ensued among Kelly, the cast, and developers; she was only mentioned briefly.

Kelly reprised her Pinky role on the first episode of Blansky's Beauties, a short-lived 1977 Happy Days spin-off. Diane Sullivan appeared in the slasher film New Year's Evil (1981), she had a small but memorable role in the television drama Curse of the Black Widow (1977). Kelly has appeared on Starsky & Hutch, The Paul Lynde Halloween Special, Baretta, Kojak, The Dukes of Hazzard, Charlie's Angels, and Fantasy Island. Officer Linda Baylor, Kelly's character, intended to fill her role in Starsky & Hutch when she was created. However, Glaser was persuaded to stay, and Kelly's character was seen in three episodes, "Fatal Charm," "Las Vegas Strangler," and "Death Notice." When the fall season began, ABC had her Pinky Tuscadero's role as Pinky Tuscadero was heavily promoted by ABC. Roz "Pinky Tuscadero" Kelly was billed as Roz "Pinky Tuscadero" Kelly for her appearance on The Paul Lynde Halloween Special in late October, and she appeared on Match Game PM the following week and later on Hollywood Squares.

Kelly appeared in films including Greetings (1968), The Owl and the Pussycat (1970), You'll Lose That Beat (1971), and Full Moon High (1981), and appeared in the 1981 animated American Pop.

In an episode titled "Whatever Happened to Your Favorite Television Stars," Kelly appeared as a guest on The Jenny Jones Show.
