Robert Romanus (born July 17, 1956), also known as Bob Romanus, is an American actor and singer who has appeared in film and television.

He is perhaps best known for his work in the 1982 comedy Fast Times at Ridgemont High as Italian-American ticket scalper Mike Damone, and as Natalie Green's boyfriend Snake on The Truth of Life.

He appeared in the 1985 film Bad Medicine.

Personal life

Romanus owned a cafe in North Hollywood, Bob's Espresso Bar, which closed in 2014.

Life and career

Romanus is the son of Eileen (née Maloof) and Dr. Raymond Romanos, as well as actor Richard Romanus' brother. He grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut, and went to Conard High School. He is of Lebanese descent.

Pete Falcone appeared in The Best of Times in 1983 as Pete Falcone, and Miltie Horowitz (1986–1987) appeared in Fame as Miltie Horowitz.

He appeared in Kilroy Was Here's music video in 1983.

As Marvin 'Speed' Selejko from 1983 to 1985, and The Young and the Restless as Lou in 2002, Romanus has appeared on soap operas such as Days of Our Lives as Lou. He has appeared on several television shows, including CHiPs, The Truth of Life, 21 Jump Street, Alien Nation, MacGyver, Providence, Will & Grace, and My Own Worst Enemy. Romanus penned Grapefruit Moon in 2008 and appeared in American Pie Presents: The Book of Love as himself. He was the guitar instructor in The Runaways in 2010. Genesis: The Future of Mankind Is Woman, The Liquid Psychologist, and Voyeur are among his 2018 film projects.

Actor Richard Romanus died at a private hospital in Volos, Greece, on December 23, as reported by his son, Robert Romanus. In four episodes of The Sopranos from 1999 to 2002, Richard played Richard La Penna, Jennifer Melfi's husband. Michael Longo appeared in Mean Streets in 1973 and 1981, as well as the role of cab driver Harry Canyon in Heavy Metal. Robert Sebastian, his second wife, Oscar-nominated costume designer Anthea Sylbert, and his younger brother Robert Romanus are survivors of Romanus.
