Richard Colburn (born 25 July 1970) is the drummer of Belle & Sebastian, Scotland's indie band.

He sold pies on match days outside of Celtic Park and studied Music Business at Stow College before joining Belle & Sebastian.

He was also a semi-professional snooker player.

His nickname is "Rico" and he also DJs. He hails from Perth, Scotland.

He drummed on early Snow Patrol sessions and was one of the founding members of The Reindeer Section.

Colburn spent a short time in Virgin Records in Glasgow's Union Street.

He wears an old Perthshire Advertiser T-shirt, which he has owned for years, while the other band members amused.

He was a postman in Perth for a short period in the 1980s and was a well-known snooker player at Perth's historic James Street snooker hall.
