Reece Ritchie (born 23 July 1986) is an English actor.
Early life
Ritchie was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk. His father is from Durban, South Africa, and his mother is English, and he has referred to himself as a "mix." Since his father was only a year old because of apartheid in South Africa, his paternal grandparents left South Africa for England. Ritchie is the middle of three children in the United States. Ria Ritchie, his younger sister, is a singer-songwriter. As a youth, he performed with the National Youth Theatre and developed his acting experience at the University of Essex's East 15 Acting School in Loughton, Essex.
Career
Ritchie was offered a part in director Roland Emmerich's 2008 epic 10,000 BC in which he appeared as Moha after being noticed by a casting director during one of his monologue performances at the Soho Theatre in London.
Ritchie played Ray Singh, the love interest of Susie Salmon's main character, in Peter Jackson's 2009 film The Lovely Bones (based on Alice Sebold's book of the same name).
