Music career
He appeared on three albums for Jean-Luc Ponty and with the rock band Taxxi in the early 1980s. He appeared on Journey from 1986 to 1987 as a session musician. Jackson appeared on Journey's 1986 album Raised on Radio. In the late 1980s, he moved to Italy and competed on a record set by Italian pop star Zucchero. Corrado Rustici, who played guitar with Jackson on several albums in the early 1980s, produced Zucchero and the Randy Jackson Band. Billy Cobham appeared with him before.
