Career
Rakesh began his career as an assistant director to film maker Mohan Kumar in films starring Rajendra Kumar and Babita. Actor Rajendra Kumar referred him to several film designers, and Soodesh Kumar signed Man Mandir, starring Sanjeev Kumar and Waheeda Rehman. However, he made his debut as an actor in the 1970 film Ghar Ki Kahani, in which he appeared as a supporting actor. In his career, he had only seen a handful of solo hero films. With Bharati, Khubsoorat, and Kaamchor with Jaya Prada, he appeared in more women-oriented films where the focus was more on the heroine. Aankhon Mein with Rakhee Nafrat with Yogita Bali, Ek Kunwari Ek Kunwara with Bindiya Goswami and Shubh Kaamna with Rati Agnihotri was one of his few hit solo hero films, with the emphasis on both hero and heroine. With Rakesh as the lead, J. Om Prakash produced Aankhon Aankhon Mein. Later, J. Om Prakash produced Aakraman, with Sanjeev Kumar leading, Rakesh in a supporting role, and finally produced Aakhir Kyun?, with Rajesh Khanna leading and Rakesh in a supporting role. Rakesh appeared in a few hit films, including Man Mandir with Sanjeev Kumar in the lead, Khel Khel Mein with Rishi Kapoor in the lead, Darya with Dhongee and Neeyat with Shandaan as the lead actor, and with Randhir Kapoor as the lead actress, Jeetendra and Neeyat with Shashi Kapoor as the lead hero. He appeared in supporting roles in films with Rajesh Khanna, principal actor in the lead role, but Chalta Purza was a failure, while the other three were blockbusters - Dhanwan, Awaaz, and Aakhir Kyon. Sanjeev Kumar was the main lead singer in Devata, Shrimati, and Haath Kadi, two of the few multi-star cast films that were successful between 1977 and 1986, as the lead hero, as well as other hits such as Dil Aura (1980) and Maqaar (1986). The bulk of his films, whether they were second lead hero or solo hero, were box office flops between 1973 and 1990.
Rakesh founded Filmkraft in 1980, and their first project, Aap Ke Deewane (1980), which was a box office flop. Kaamchor, a hit, was his next venture, but the film's success was mainly due to its music and actress Jayaprada. Shubh Kaamna, K. Vishwanath's latest solo hero film, was a hit. With Bhagwaan Dada (1986), directed by J. Om Prakash and starring Rajinikanth as the main lead and himself in the second role, he tried to re-launch himself as a lead hero. Bhagwaan Dada, on the other hand, was a flop. With the exception of Bahurani, he only had supporting roles between 1984 and 1990. The multi-star films in which he was the second lead, such as Maqaar and Ek Aur Sikander, were highly rated. Bahurani, Rekha's last film as a leading hero, was released in 1989, and was directed by Manik Chatterjee.
Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1995), and Shahrukh Khan actor Koyla (1997). He made his directorial debut with Khudgarz (1987) and went on to direct box office hits such as Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), and Koyla (1997). However, his other directorial ventures fell flat on him. During this period, he appeared in films occasionally, made guest appearances, and concentrated mainly on directing. With Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), he began his son Hrithik's career as an actor. Rakesh later revealed that this film was inspired by Aradhana's storyline, which starred Rajesh Khanna. This film, the highest grosser of 2000, made it to the Limca Book of Records for the most awards won by a Bollywood film. He starred his son in the 2003 science fiction film Koi... Mil Gaya (fetching him the Filmfare award 2004 for best filmmaker) and its sequel, the science fiction superhero film Krrish (2006), both of which were also very popular at the box office. He made the film Krazzy 4 in 2008. In 2010, he released Kites, a Bollywood meets Hollywood crossover film. Brett Ratner's Kitees: The Remix was the first version of this film to be distributed internationally, and it was named as Brett Ratner. This version was shorter, and the amount of musical numbers was mainly toned down. Kaabil's most recent film as producer was released on January 25, 2017. And it grossed over Rs. 250,000 and Yami Gautam in the film. The box office is open at 100 crores.
Roshan was fired by two Budesh gang members outside his West office on Tilak Road. He was shot with two bullets, one of which struck him on the left arm, while the other grazed his chest. The assassination of the director was pushed to the ground, the assassination assassinated the assassination team. The assassinants were later identified as Sunil Vithal Gaikwad and Sachin Kamble. The assault on Rakesh was not meant to kill, but to alert that the Shiv Sena could no longer safeguard its citizens. Budesh had rejected a part of the profits earned by the worldwide selling of the Hindi all-time blockbuster; Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai.
