Peter Woodward Life

Peter Woodward (born 24 January 1956) is an English actor, voice artist, stuntman, and screenwriter.

He is probably best known for his role as Galen in the Babylon 5 spin-offs The Lost Tales.

In The Patriot, he is also known for his role as British Army Brigadier General Charles O'Hara.

Early life and education

Woodward was born in London and became the second son of actors Venetia Barrett (also known as Venetia Barrett) and Edward Woodward. Tim and Sarah, his siblings, are also actors. Before attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he was educated at Haileybury and Imperial Service College. (RADA).

Career

He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company after graduation, appearing in several of their performances, including Winter's Tale, Comedy of Errors, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Woodward has appeared in a number of major character roles in film and television, including the role of the German Captain Stossel in the film The Brylcreem Boys. Edwin Carbunkle, the main villain in the 3D Computer animation children's comedy film, was played by Woodward.

Woodward appeared opposite his father in the episode "The Long Road" as the Techno Mage Galen in the Babylon 5 spin-off Crusade. The Excalibur explores a planet that may have a potent anti-viral agent in its minerals in the episode. Earth governments are stripping the planet of its minerals. Edward Woodward played Alwyn, a rogue Techno Mage that lives on the planet with its inhabitants who was a mentor of Galen's former teacher.

Woodward, a former member of the British Academy of Dramatic Combat, is best known in the film industry for his work as a battle arranger. Woodward's intense combat training inspired him to investigate historical weaponry and combat techniques. This passion led him to produce, co-write, and host Conquest, a hands-on display of weapons, education, and combat tactics throughout history. The series lasted from 2002 to 2003.

Woodward is a post-production manager who produced the additional dialogue for films including: Columbus, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, The Scarlet Tunic, Les Misérables, and Dangerous Obsessions (1998).

Woodward and his father formed Tripal Productions in the late 1990s, when Woodward and his father directed his first feature film The House of Angelo, directed by Jim Goddard in 1997 with his father in the starring role as "Angelo." Woodward produced the film Closing the Ring, which was also directed by Richard Attenborough.
