In Sri Lanka, a taxi plunged off a cliff and killed a woman and her daughter was injured

As the vehicle passed off a cliff (left and right), the 67-year-old Sydney woman, who is thought to be of Fijian-Indian origins, was with her daughter in a hire taxi traveling through Dara Wanguwa, about 100 kilometres north east of Colombo. The mother died as a result of the accident, but her daughter survived. It comes just days after a South Australian father-of-five was killed while hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
