Patty Lin, the desperate Housewife's, has admitted that it was a'miracle' that the hit series ever came because of the chaotic behind-the-scenes drama, and that staff would specifically avoid cast member Teri (right) during script read-throughs. Hatcher (Susan Mayer), Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo), and Marcia Cross (Bree van de Kamp) appeared on the acclaimed ABC show from 2004 to 2012, followed the four housewives and the enigmas that lay in their seemingly perfect neighborhood. Lin served as a writer on Marc Cherry's show and revealed troubling tales from the set and writer's room in her recently published memoir End Credits.

In an excerpt from her forthcoming book End Credits: How I Broke Up with Hollywood, a former television writer Patty Lin talked about her experience with Friends. In 2000, the 43-year-old screenwriter was first hired to write for the seventh season of the hit sitcom, but she did not return until the following year, when her deal was not renewed. The entertainment industry figure wrote a book in which she explained that working on the show, which starred actress Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow,'wore off fast' as she began to know the project's inner workings.
