RJ Mitte Life

Roy Frank "RJ" Mitte III (born August 21, 1992) is an American actor best known for his role as Walter "Flynn" White Jr. on AMC's Breaking Bad (2008–2013).

He has cerebral palsy, as well as his character on the show.

He began training with personal assistant Addison Witt after moving to Hollywood in 2006.

They were looking for acting opportunities where his disability could educate viewers, which led to his appearance in Breaking Bad.

Early life

Mitte was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born by emergency caesarean and was not breathing at the time of his birth, resulting in permanent brain damage. He was adopted by Roy Frank Mitte Jr. and Dyna Mittene, who later parted. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three, and doctors put his legs in casts for six months in an effort to straighten his feet.

Mitte was born with leg braces and crutches throughout his childhood; however, over time, his body got stronger by sports and fitness; he no longer needed any walking aids until his teenage years. He and his family migrated to Los Angeles in 2006, where his younger sister Lacianne Carriere had been accepted for a part in a film project.

Following his parents' divorce, Mitte was raised by his mother. Mittene's mother was paralyzed, and his family was financially responsible at age 13, which later included his sister, who was born when he was 11 years old. He was still financially responsible for his mother and sister as of 2015.
