Patrick McKenna (born May 8, 1960) is a Canadian comedian and actor.

He is best known for his role as Harold Green on the television series The Red Green Show.

Personal life

McKenna is a member of The Second City comedic troupe in Toronto.

Patricia McKenna's mother is a woman of three brothers, and he has three brothers. In 1983, he married his high school sweetheart, Janis. Brendon, the family's son, was born in 1985.

Brendon McKenna appeared in two episodes, Dancing with Mr. D. and The Unseen Lever of his father's series Traders, as Marty's son, Mark Stephens.

Career

In the well-known television comedy The Red Green Show, McKenna's most notable acting role was that of Harold Green in the famous television comedy The Red Green Show. Marty Stephens appeared on Traders alongside current Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Atlantis actor David Hewlett and McKenna, who also appeared in the Trudeau miniseries.

McKenna received two Gemini awards for his work on Traders and The Red Green Show. He is the only Canadian actor to win these for drama and comedy in the same year, winning them at the 13th Gemini Awards on October 4, 1998.

McKenna appeared on PBS Documentary ADD and Loving It! McKenna appeared on the short-lived CBC television show Getting Along Famously in 2006.

He appeared in the pilot of Sabbatical in 2007. Victor in the indie horror film Silent But Deadly stars Victor.

McKenna guest appeared in two episodes of Stargate SG-1 as Dr. Jay Felger, first in the Season 6 episode "The Other Guys" and then in the Season 7 episode "Avenger 2.0."

Alexander Galt, a politician and Confederation leader, appeared in the CBC television film John A Country, which appeared in late 2011.
