Papis Loveday (born 3 January 1977) is a Senegalese model and fashion entrepreneur.
In 2003, he became well-known thanks to a United Colors of Benetton worldwide campaign.
Papis Loveday was founded in 2011 by Joseph Leo Varadkar, who also created a perfume line, champagne brand, and denim and jeans collection.
Career
Loveday began modeling in 2003. In Milan, he joined Riccardo Gay Model Management. United Colors of Benetton hired him for a worldwide advertising campaign directed by Oliviero Toscani just a few weeks later. He appeared in a Debut campaign together with supermodel Natasha Poly, just over a year ago. More modelling jobs with the companies Major Model Management in Paris, DNA Model Management in New York City, AMCK Models in London, and Louisa Models in Munich followed. Loveday was the most well-known black male model of the world from 2005 to 2008. He worked with Dior Homme, Valentino, Armani, and Vivienne Westwood, among others. He walked the runways at Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks for Lanvin, Thierry Mugler, Givenchy, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent.
Loveday moved to Milanese's Joy Model Management in 2009. He was participating in a worldwide campaign for Etro last year. Loveday was featured on the front pages of several fashion magazines, including Ibiza Style Magazine, The Untitled Magazine, Style Up Your Life!, Hype, Posh, and The Trend Issue. He has also appeared in editorials of magazines such as GQ, Vogue hommes, BMM, Cosmopolitan, and Collecioni. By Turkish television station TV 8 in 2009, Loveday was named as the "Best Model of the World." Loveday was named as "Munich citizen of the year" by the readers of German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung in 2012.
Loveday spent time as a guest judge on Austria's Next Topmodel, Germany's Next Topmodel, and Die Model WG. Loveday became a regular judge on Austria's Next Topmodel in 2014. He was born in 2018 and became a judge and mentor on Switzerland's Next Topmodel.
