Pamela Renea Veasey (born May 25, 1962) is an American television writer, producer and director.

Personal life

Veasey was married to Marvin Williams, an assistant football coach at Pomona College and her two sons Mason and Avery, are also athletes. Avery was drafted in the 5th round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Veasey and Williams divorced in 2011.

Career

Veasey earned a degree in journalism and political science from the University of Southern California. She began writing in 1985 and produced an episode of What's Happening Now!! Before that, she served as the receptionist behind-the-scenes of the sitcom Gimme a Break!, which culminated in six episodes. She began writing in 1990 and became a writer on the sketch comedy series In Living Color, then became the head writer, and stayed with the series until it was ended in 1994.

Veasey decided to move to drama television in 1997, starring Nash Bridges. She appeared as an executive producer and consultant on the sitcom Between Brothers and The Gregory Hines Show respectively during the same year. Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway appeared on the comedy-drama series Get Real from 1999 to 2000. Veasey has produced and written for the CBS drama series Martial Law, The District, from the late 1990s to the present.

Veasey, the showrunner of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, spinoff CSI: New York, a role she will continue in until the show was cancelled in 2013.

Veasey began as the executive producer of The CW drama Ringer starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, a role she held until the show was officially cancelled on May 11, 2012.

Veasey assumed the role of showrunner for the forthcoming CSI spinoff CSI: Cyber in 2014, the same role she held on CSI: New York. In 2015, Cyber launched its first season of thirteen episodes, while CBS later extended the series for twenty-two (later reduced to eighteen) second-season episodes, which aired from 2015-2016.
