Olivia Tennet Life

Olivia Tennet (born 4 January 1991) is a New Zealand actress and dancer best known in her home country for her role as Tuesday Warner on the nightly medical drama Shortland Street, as well as other television and theatre roles.

She is best known for her appearances in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), Power Rangers RPM (2009), and the independent film Blood Punch (2013) outside of New Zealand.

Personal life

Tennet was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and he was born. Tennet's older sister Emma is also an actor based in Melbourne, Australia, while her older brother Anton Tennet is also an actor.

Milo Cawthorne, a fellow New Zealand actor with whom she has worked numerous times in the past, married her while living in Los Angeles, California, most notably on Power Rangers RPM and more recently on Blood Punch. The couple had been living in Los Angeles since late 2011 before heading to New Zealand in late 2013 to begin rehearsals for the Auckland production of 360: A Theatre of Recollections (2014). The couple had been separated by June 2016 as a result of June's separation. She has been in a relationship with musician Tom Broome, with whom she has a son named Alwyn.

Tennet earned his diploma from Epsom Girls Grammar School in 2008 just shy of being featured on Power Rangers RPM. After returning to NZ with her then-husband, she began studying speech therapy at the University of Auckland, and as of July 2019, she graduated with her bachelor's degree.

Tennet began taking dance lessons at the age of four years following her older sister's move to dance, and then stumbled into acting in the fourth season of Xena: Warrior Princess as the runaway Princess Alesia.

Tennet made her way into film later this year. Nicole Mitchell in Kids World received the "Best Juvenile Performer" award at the Nokia New Zealand Film and TV Awards in 2000 for her role as Nicole Mitchell in Kids World. Freda, a young girl of Rohan, appeared in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of J. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings as Freda. She then named herself "Best Actress" at the Drifting Clouds Short Film Festival for her outstanding appearance in the short film Watermark, defeating the other adult candidates. At the same awards, the film was named "Best Film."

Tennet debuted as Lilith in Maddigan's Quest (2006) as Lilith. During the 2007 and 2008 seasons, she appeared on Shortland Street as Julie Warner. Dr. K on Power Rangers RPM, the seventeenth season of the Power Rangers series that premiered in March 2009.

Tennet won four of fifteen awards around this time, and with classmate Phoebe Mason (Epsom Girls Grammar School Drama Leader 2008), they did fine, winning four of 15 awards. The 5-minute performance featured scenes from Macbeth. As part of the Young Shakespeare Company, Tennet and Mason received a trip to the Globe Theatre in London, July 2009.

Tennet has appeared on television shows and theatre productions in New Zealand since her appearance on Power Rangers RPM. Lynne played nurse Lynne in an Auckland Theatre Company production of Stepping Out in June 2010, followed by the Siren Queen in a Wet Hot Beauties' water ballet performance titled Sirens for the Auckland Fringe Festival in February 2011. She also assisted in choreographing the performance.

Tennet made an appearance on television in an episode of The Almighty Johnsons as Delphine in March 2011. Emilia debuted in Peach Theatre Company's production of Othello in July 2011. Dorothy debuted in a major theatrical revival of The Wizard of Oz, based on the Royal Shakespeare Company's 1987 production of The Wizard of Oz, receiving raves for her portrayal of the character.

Julie Theilman, a courier for Terry Clark of the Mr. Asia drug syndicate, appeared on Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud before heading to the United States.

Tennet left the Wizard of Oz to film Blood Punch, a low-budget independent film that also starred several of her co-stars from Power Rangers RPM. In late October 2013, the film premiered at the 20th Austin Film Festival in late October 2013 and has received numerous accolades and accolades in the film festival circuit since then. She appeared in a web series and did voiceover work in the United States before heading back to New Zealand.

Tennet has been on television television shows Since then, as well as various stage and voiceover credits, including numerous interviews. Dancing in Small Spaces, her own web series of dance videos, is also available on YouTube and Vimeo. Tennet, along with actress Esther Stephens and Aria Jones, formed The Up-Doos, a 60's doom trio who has appeared in several local Auckland venues in late 2018.

Tennet reprised Dr. K in two episodes of the second season of Power Rangers Beast Morphers in 2020.
