Professional career

Davies had an undefeated record as an amateur, according to BoxRec. Davies, who spoke to BoxingMonthly in May 2015, talked about his amateurism: "I think that as an adult, I always had a style that was more suitable for the pros." I've been told plenty of times in the gym that I have more of a pro style, so when I finally decided to give over, I didn't have to make any changes."

Davies, who turned professional in 2014, gained on points in a four-round match against Latvian fighter Ivans Levickis (9-12), who died on April 19th at the York Hall in London.

Davies had a record of 4-0 following knockout victories over Kristian Dochev (10-16), Andy Harris (3-18-1) and Oszkar Fiko (10-7). On Matchroom Boxing shows, the two winners were determined.

Davies won all five of his appearances in 2015, ending the year with a record of 9–0. He defeated Lee Gibbons (3-2), Jacek Wylezol (11-7), Simas Volosinas (6-30), and Chris Truman (13-4-2), with Wylezol being the only one to make it to the distance.

Matchroom Boxing announced that Davies would face Anthony Keates (11-3) in London on the undercard, as opposed to Ghana's Prince Ofotsu (15-5) in January.

Davies won by a fourth-round knockout after knocking Keates down in the round one before crashing him out in round four.

Davies won both of his next two battles against Zoltan Szabo (9-0) and Chaquib Fadli (13-7), all within the distance in non-title fights.

Matchroom Boxing announced that Davies would face WBC Silver champion Andrea Scarpa (20-2) at Wembley Arena in October. Davies was awarded by a majority decision, with all three judges delivering scorecards of 120–108.

On Monday, Matchroom Boxing announced that Davies will defend his WBC Silver light-welterweight title against former lightweight world champion Derry Matthews (38-11-2) on the undercard to David Haye versus Tony Bellew at the O2 Arena in London.

After twice knocking Mathews down in the third round, Davies won by a third-round stoppage. Mathews was released from boxing just short of the fight.

Davies will defend his WBC Silver title against undefeated Commonwealth champion Josh Taylor (9-0), with both titles in play. On the 8th of July, the brawl will take place in Glasgow's Braehead Arena.

Davies was unbeaten in the competition. In round three and then twice in round seven, he was disqualified for his first game as a professional.

Davies will face unbeaten Liverpool prospect Tom Farrell (13-0) for the vacant WBA International light-welterweight title on the undercard at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on September 30th.

Davies won by a sixth-round stoppage after knocking down Farrell once in round one twice and twice in round two and two in round six.

Davies would face France's Christopher Sebire (26-10-1) on the undercard at Leeds' Elland Road Stadium on May 27th, according to promoter Frank Warren. After Sebire pulled out, Davies carried out a UD against Ismail Abdoul. In a post-fight interview, Davies called out Jack Catterall and Terry Flanagan.

Davies defeated Miguel Vasquez on June 28, 2019. Davies won the war 97-94, with the sole referee scoring it 97-94. After the score was announced, even Davies himself thought the number was too wide and even raised Vasquez's hand.
