Nicolas Coster, who had worked on a number of soap operas, died on Monday night at the age of 89. He was best known for his role as Lionel Lockridge, the wealthy adventurer and womanizer on Santa Barbara, the NBC daytime soap of the 1980s and 1990s. Dinneen's heartbroken daughter blasted the news of his death on Facebook, pouring praise on her late father. 'I have a great sadness in my heart this evening,' she posted. Nicolas Coster, my father, died in Florida at 9:01 p.m. in the hospital.' 'Please be inspired by his artistic achievements and know he was a real actor's actor! I'll remember him as always doing his best and being a good father. 'Remain In Peace.'
