Career

Barnatt appeared on Comedy Central's The Gong Show in 2008, on Comedy Central's Ghosts/Aliens pilot, and on This Show Will Get You High in 2010. Barnatt created Youth Large in 2012, based on his Keith Apicary character Youth Large. Barnatt, his brother Seth, and Paul Cummings (who is also the pilot) wrote the Youth Large pilot. Adult Swim, on the other hand, was cancelled on the pilot, but it was announced online in August 2014. Barnatt has sold shows to television networks Nickelodeon, Amazon, Comedy Central, Fox, and Viceland since then.

Barnatt is a performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Hollywood, California. He is also an amateur dancer, as shown in his videos, including a Kimberly Cole audition session. He was supposed to be Michael Jackson's lead dancing clown before he left to work on a Comedy Central pilot because of his dancing and physical comedy abilities.

His fame in the Kimberly Cole audition video has led him to him appear in Kimberly Cole's "U Make Me Wanna" in his Keith Apicary role. Barnatt appeared in person in a music video for Flo Rida and "Paradise" by Laidback Luke. In the music video for Lady Antebellum's "Freestyle" music album, he appears in character.

Barnatt was featured on the front cover of Los Angeles Weekly magazine in 2012, announcing his YouTube success. Barnatt appeared on the Animation Domination show High School USA in 2013. Lamort Blackstein, one of the main characters, appears in Lamort Blackstein.

Barnatt appeared as a police officer in Robin Schulz's music video for "Sugar" in 2015.

Barnatt appeared on the Let's Play webseries Game Grumps in June 2016. Barnatt appeared in an episode of James & Mike Mondays, as well as his good friend James Rolfe, who was with Rolfe on Rolfe's 2014 film Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. In a Christmas episode of Angry Video Game Nerd where he dresses up as Will Ferrell's character from Elf, he appears in a number of games with various Sega Genesis accessories, while destroying the set in a slapstick fashion, on December 20, 2016. He also appears in a short film by James Rolfe (a.k.a. "Flying Fuckernauts vs. the Astro Bastards" is one of two Fuckernauts in Angry Video Game Nerd's "Nerd" is one of two Fuckernauts, with Rolfe as the other.

Barnatt was a fast-talking salesman trying to sell a faceless customer a copy of a fictional game called Finger GunZ in July 2018. However, the customer is always drawn to Sonic Mania Plus's gameplay. The customer addresses all of the Sonic Mania Plus's benefits and its low price, while Barnatt continues to promote Finger Gunz with direct hit at the game market.

Barnatt created Dad, a YouTube channel based on the web series Dad Feels, which focuses on a character named Dad. Barnatt rejects the term "alternative reality game" (ARG). In December 2020, the series will conclude with three acts. Barnatt's was a surprising success, although he was still suffering from financial hardships enough that he was able to live in his van.

Barnatt appeared on an episode of Rental Reviews in August 2019, this time as both himself and Keith Apicary.

Barnatt appeared on season 16 of America's Got Talent as his character Keith Apicary, where he received four "yes" votes from the judges for his dance routine in June 2021. Apicary did not qualify for the next round on the semi-final live show on August 25, 2021.

Barnatt won his match against Matt Watson in TKO in 22 seconds in May 2022.
