Nancy Dell'Olio (born 23 August 1961) is an Italian British lawyer who first came to public attention as the girlfriend of Sven-Göran Eriksson's girlfriend.

Early life

Annunziata Dell'Olio was born in New York City as the eldest of four children; when she was five years old, she and her family returned to Italy, to Bisceglie in the Province of Barletta-Andria and the province of Apulia.

Personal life

Dell'Olio was introduced to Sven-Göran Eriksson, the head of the Lazio football team, in May 1998, and the two teams began a six-month friendship. Eriksson, the England team's manager, was born in January 2001, and he and Dell'Olio immigrated to London. Eriksson had a brief encounter with television host Ulrika Jonsson at the start of 2002, but he returned to Dell'Olio.

Eriksson was involved with Faria Alam, the Football Association secretary, in August 2004. When the media picked up the news, Alam had also had an affair with FA CEO Mark Palios, and it made national news and TV headlines. Dell'Olio was ill, but he decided to stick with Eriksson. In August 2007, the pair finally broke up.

Dell'Olio was in a relationship with Sir Trevor Nunn as of May 2011, but by the end of the year, it had been reported that the friendship had ended. In December 2011, she dropped a High Court libel case against Associated Newspapers, the newspaper's publishers, because an article referred to her as a "man eater."

Dell'Olio studied law at the University of Bari. She earned a master's degree from New York University later this year. Dell'Olio married Giancarlo Mazza in 1990 and formed her own legal firm, focusing on property law.
