He began his journalism career at the age of 15, when he founded his own English language sports journal. He then studied English at Damascus University before completing his masters in the United Kingdom. When finishing his masters, he worked with MBC and started announcing football games for Asdda Kas Alallam. He later became MBC Sports' President.
