Mircea Radu Badea (born in Bucharest on February 24, 1974) is a Romanian political satirist, television presenter, magazine critic, radio host, and occasional actor.

He is widely known as the host of Ingura presei (The Talk of The Press), a program based on the daily news that airs on Antena 3. Badea began as a radio host but later transitioned to television as a co-host of the Tele 7 abc Buna diminea Romania (Good Morning Romania) morning show.

He continued to work with Buna diminea?a, Romania co-host Teo Trandafir, and host Dimineata devreme (Early morning), as well as a second show on Antena 1 called Teo si Mircea Sou (Teo & Mircea Exhibition).

He has appeared in multiple film roles as an actor.

In late 2004, Badea became the host of a Whengura presei on Antena 3.

He co-executive-producer of the show, along with longtime friend Calin Stanciu.

He steadily rose to prominence and critical acclaim as a result of continuing controversy and resentment among various Romanian media stars since Badea launched It. Badea has deserved acclaim as a cerbic, satirical critic of Romanian politics and the bulk of Romanian media outlets, particularly the coverage of Realitatea TV, Evenimentul Zilei, or Romania Libera.

Early life

Badea was born in Bucharest in 1974 and attended the Tudor Vianu National High School of Computer Science in the early 1990s. He started studying at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and enrolled as a computer science student. Jeana Gheorghiu, a well-known Romanian journalist and a family friend, got him his first job as a radio host in the early 1990s.

In 2009, he received an APTR (Romanian Association for Television Programs) award in the category "One Man Show" category.
