ANDREW PIERCE: Sir Keir Starmer's 'Lord Tony' and the Blairites' second coming

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 26, 2023
ANDREW PIERCE: If Blair is allowed to don the ermine, it would be a dramatic comeback for him, and there is also talk of him being given a seat in a Starmer Cabinet. If that were to happen, he'd be surrounded by his old classmates at No. 10. Matt Doyle, Blair's communications secretary, served with Blair from his first day as Labour leader Larry Burke's chief. And the fundraising team is brimming with veteran employees, including Lord Alli, who is in charge of election fundraising. Lord Levy, Blair's most popular tapper, is also back in harness. Levy was at the center of a police probe into the cash-for-honors scandal in 2006. Levy denied any wrongdoing and no one was ever charged, but that didn't stop him from being dubbed 'Lord Cashpoint'.
