Personal life
Higashide graduated from Saitama Prefectural Asaka High School. Since his father is a kendo instructor, he trained kendo every day. His father is also a chef of Japanese cuisine.
On January 1, 2015, he married Anne Watanabe. Their twin daughters were born in May 2016. In November 2017, their son was born.
Higashide had been having an extramarital affair with actress Erika Karata since 2017, when Watanabe was pregnant with their third child, in January 2020. His department later announced the findings. Higashide has lost several endorsement contracts as a result of the incident. Watanabe announced her divorce with Higashide on August 1, 2020, pledging to work together to take care of the children.
Career
In high school, he debuted as a model in the 19th Men's Non-no Exclusive Model Audition. He aspired to become a jewelry designer after graduating from high school and applied to attend a jewelry school. From 2006 to 2011, he was modeling for ZUCCa or Yohji Yamamoto.
