Steven Chadwick McQueen (born July 13, 1988), better known as Steven R. McQueen, is an American actor and model best known for his role in The Vampire Diaries from 2009 to 2017.

Jimmy Borelli appeared in the NBC drama Chicago Fire from 2015 to 2016.

Early life

McQueen was born in Los Angeles on July 13, 1988, to Stacey (now Stacia Robitaille), a humanitarian and former actress, and Chad McQueen, a race car racer and former actor. He and his paternal grandparents, actor Steve McQueen and Filipino actress Neile Adams, are related. Neile Adams' niece, Isabel Preysler, mother of Chabeli Iglesias, Julio Iglesias Jr., and Enrique Iglesias, is one of McQueen and the Iglesias' second cousins. Luc Robitaille, his stepfather, is a pro ice hockey executive and former player. McQueen is the oldest of four children with a half-brother Chase (b). Madison, a half-sister, was born in 1995 (b. Jesse Robitaille, a half-brother, and his father's remarriage (b. 1996). (1996), from his mother's remarriage. His stage name is "Steven R. McQueen," the letter R in reference to his stepfather's surname Robitaille. In an interview with the New York Post, McQueen discussed his friendship with his father and his stepfather. "My stepdad has been more like a biological dad in my life." I'm pretty close to my biological father, but I think of him more like an uncle. It's a good relationship."

McQueen and his family went from city to city with his parents, including living in Detroit and being homeschooled until his graduation. "My fascination for it slowly developed while living in Detroit." "I went to a few classes and loved it," I said. Eventually, he packed his suitcases, returned to Los Angeles, and started taking acting lessons.

Personal life

McQueen confirmed his engagement to model Alexandra Silva on Instagram on January 25, 2018, with a black and white photo and the word "She said yes" in a black and white snapshot, but they said no engagement was made in May 2018.

Since 2014, McQueen has been a sponsor of the Thirst Project, a non-profit group whose aim is to bring clean drinking water to communities around the world where it is not immediately available. He lends his assistance in establishing water systems in the United Kingdom by attending their annual fundraising event, the Annual Thirst Gala, as well as traveling to Eswatini to help with the construction of water systems. He also supports TECHO, a non-profit group that mobilizes youth volunteers to combat extreme poverty in Latin America, and Echoes of Hope, a non-profit group founded by his parents Stacia and Luc Robitaille, to help at-risk and emancipated foster youth succeed and reach their full potential.

McQueen made his television debut in September 2005 when he was 17 years old, appearing as a guest star in an episode of CBS science fiction drama Threshold. He appeared on several other CBS television shows, including Numb3rs, Without a Trace, and CSI: Miami. Kyle Hunter appeared in seven episodes of the fourth and final seasons of The WB's Everwood franchise from 2005 to 2006. His character, a teen piano prodigy and moody loner, struggled to resolve his sexuality, the breaking storyline was intended to shed a light on the struggles young people face while also acknowledging that they are not alone. Although McQueen co-starred in a short film Club Soda in 2006, it was in January 2008 that he made his first film appearance in the Disney Channel Original Movie Minutemen, where he played Derek Beaugard in the villainous role of Derek Beaugard. When asked whether being mean in the film, McQueen replied, "You know, it's actually fun because I'm not really that mean in real life." It's all pretend and great fun.

McQueen appeared as Jeremy Gilbert in the CW's television adaptation of L. J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries books in March 2009 and appeared in the first six seasons until 2015. When it was revealed that the sixth season would be McQueen's last, Gilbert was supposed to have left Mystic Falls for art school. In the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, his participation in the drama earned him a nomination for the Choice TV Male Scene Stealer Award. McQueen appeared in 2017 as a special guest star in The Vampire Diaries' spin-off Legacies, and once more in 2018 as Jeremy Gilbert in the series finale to reprise his role by helping out at the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted. McQueen appeared in a loosening of the 1978 horror film Piranha, titled Piranha 3D, among others, with Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Jerry O'Connell, and others as a vampire hunter on film. He was a social awkward kid who fell in love with a girl who was two years older than him.

In their Spring 2014 "The Making of a Star" television commercial, McQueen joined fellow actors Christa B. Allen, Colton Haynes, and Debby Ryan as a fashion model for Abercrombie & Fitch. "... he recalled his inspiration for becoming an actor in a promotional video." I started watching my grandpa's films and realized what an influence he had on the world, and I thought, 'hey, I want to do that,'" which was even more elaborated in the printed version.

In the premiere of the fourth season as Jimmy Borrelli, a new contender elected to Firehouse 51, ten years since his acting debut. McQueen was cast member for the first six episodes and was welcomed into the main cast from the seventh episode. In addition, he appeared in the crossover episodes of Chicago P.D. In 2016, Dick Wolf's One Chicago franchise came to a stop. During a fire call and sustained a career-ending injury, he took matters into his own hands. McQueen's appearance on the program ended in the second episode of the fifth season in October 2016.

McQueen co-starred in a short film The Take Off, which had its world premiere at the 2018 Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2018, in addition to being a special guest star in The CW's fantasy drama Legacies. He appeared in a television film for Hallmark Original Movie, Home by Spring, and ended the year off by starring Joseph Vittori in an episode of Netflix's anthology documentary series Medal of Honor.

In a western television film directed by INSP, The Warrant, McQueen starred alongside lead actor Neal McDonough and co-star Casper Van Dien. "Neal's been a family friend for a long time, so he called me and said it would be a Western and we'd have a blast," he said.
