Early life and education
Martin Wallström was born in Uddevalla, Sweden, on July 7, 1983. Wallström began his acting career as a child and then moved to study acting; he enrolled in the University of Gothenburg's Academy of Music and Drama in 2004 and graduated in 2008.
Personal life
Wallström married Swedish actress Lisa Linnertorp. Both Arvid and Lilla's daughter, Lilla, were born in 2013 and 2019. He lives and works mainly in Stockholm, Sweden.

Career
Wallström has worked almost entirely in Swedish television and film, as well as other Nordic and German films since 1998. He began his career in Hela Härligheten, a Swedish film.
Wallström appeared in the widely distributed Swedish film Arn: The Kingdom at the End of the Road (Arn - Riket vid vägens slut). In the year after, he made his debut in the Johan Falk film franchise; he reprised his role in the Johan Falk film Johan Falk's group för särskilda insatser, which was released the same year.
Wallström starred opposite Bill Skarsgrd in the Swedish film Simple Simon in 2010. The film was nominated internationally and shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year. In 2013, he appeared in Easy Money III: Life Deluxe, the third installment of the highly acclaimed trilogy starring Joel Kinnaman. He appeared in Ego's romantic comedy earlier this year.
In October 2014, it was announced that Wallström had joined the main cast of the US television drama Mr. Reilly. Robot was his debut on television and his most well-known international role to date, and he had his first international role. Wallström was portrayed as Tyrell Wellick, a bright Swedish technology executive for E Corp that works with the main character Elliot, played by Rami Malek. Wallström earned the role of Wellick by submitting three self-tapes to the program. On June 24, 2015, the first episode of the series premiered. Despite being named as the show's lead cast member for all four seasons, he does not appear on screen in about one-third of its episodes.
