Lynne Moody (born February 17) is an American actress who has made several television appearances. Moody studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse, Goodman Theatre, and Hull House.

She spent time in a stewardess role before heading to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actress.

She appeared in a Playboy Bunny in Los Angeles in the early 1970s, Tracy Curtis Taylor in That's My Mama (1974–74) (she was replaced by Joan Pringle at the start of the second season), Polly Dawson in Soap, Patricia Williams in Knots Landing, and Nurse Julie Williams in E/R).

The actor had been recast in January, 1975, with Berlinda Tolbert replacing her as Jenny Willis by the time the pilot episode of The Jeffersons aired in January, 1975.

She appeared on ABC's hit ABC daytime drama series "Florence Campbell" in 2000.

In 1976, she appeared in the Women in Prison exploitation TV-movie Nightmare in Badham County, and later released in theaters as Nightmare.

Early life and education

Moody was born in Detroit, Michigan, Illinois, a north suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Moody's mother was a social worker, but her father worked as a physician at a Chicago-area hospital. Moody attended Evanston Township High School, graduating in 1963. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles for her acting work, Moody spent time as a stewardess.

In 1970, Moody moved to Los Angeles where she was first hired as a Playboy bunny at a Playboy Club. Moody studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse while playing at the Playboy Club. Moody later studied at the Goodman Theatre and Hull House.) Moody appeared in Denny's first role in the American blaxplosion horror film Scream Blacula Scream.
