Lisa Ono Life

Lisa Ono (born 29 July 29 1962) is a well-known Brazilian-Japanese boss and a nova performer.

Life

Lisa Ono was born in So Paulo, Brazil, in 1962, but she and her family migrated to Tokyo at the age of 10. She lived half of every year in Japan and half in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from that time.

Despite living in Brazil for a brief period of time, she was turned into a "Brazilian popular music ambassador" in Japan, influenced by her father, who owned a club while living in Brazil and was also Baden Powell's rep.

Lisa started playing guitar at the age of 15, and her debut as a professional Bossa Nova artist was in 1989. She was driven by her natural voice, rhythmic guitar playing, and her charming smile to win a huge success and popularized Bossa Nova in Japan. She has appeared with many top artists, including Antônio Carlos Jobim and Joo Donato, and has appeared in New York City, Brazil, and Asian countries. The 1999 album Dream sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan, and since then she has held a solid presence in Japan's Bossa Nova group.

She is not related to late Beatle John Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono.
