Early life

Lincoln Younes was born in Sydney but grew up in Bendigo, Victoria, where his mother raised him. He has a younger brother. Younes announced that his surname is Arabic and that he is half Lebanese. He attended Flora Hill Secondary College. Younes first decided to pursue a sporting career after 14 years of playing soccer. Nevertheless, he later discovered he loved acting when he appeared in a Peter Pan school production. He was accepted into a one-year course at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), and he also started a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University, but he had to withdraw after six months.

Personal life

Younes was in a relationship with Australian actress Amy Ruffle from 2011 to 2016.

In 2021, Younes founded The 10 Challenge, a charity campaign dedicated to raising $10,000 for mental health and suicide prevention by running ten kilometres a day throughout the month of October.

When Younes appeared in an episode of the crime drama City Homicide as Tyler Drew in 2009, he made his debut in acting. Younes was cast as Romeo Kovac in the showcase drama series Tangle after attending his first audition. The show was described as "the best training ground I could have had," Younes said, and I am highly appreciative of the opportunity to do it." Younes received the ASTRA Award for Best Actor in 2013 for his portrayal of Romeo. Younes appears alongside Josh Lawson and Isabel Lucas in the film The Wedding Party. The film was shown at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Younes auditioned for the role of Casey Braxton in the soap opera Home and Away in 2011. He travelled to Sydney for filming. Younes wrote, "Casey's come from the wrong side of the tracks." He's moved to a new place and is trying to establish himself on the straight and narrow, but his brothers are doing something else." In 2013, Younes was nominated for "Bachelor of the Year" in Cleo. He received the Inside Soap Award for Best Daytime Actor for his portrayal of Casey the previous year. Younes left Home and Away in 2014 and filmed his final scenes in May. Younes collaborated with the serial's script team on his character's demise, which culminated in him being shot and killed before being killed.

The series revolves around a family and the employees who own and run a Miami Beach hotel. After a season, the show was cancelled.

Younes appeared in The CW's The Lost Boys pilot in February 2020 as Benjamin, the leader of a band of vampires. The role is similar to Kiefer Sutherland's character in the 1987 film. COVID-19 caused the pilot to cease operating. Younes was an ambassador for the Beyond Blue 2020 MEN-tality project by Peter Brew-Bevan, alongside Rodger Corser, Cody Simpson, and Barry Otto. In 2021, he appeared in Nine Network drama series Doctor Doctor for its fifth season.

Younes appears in the 2022 surfing drama series Barons, which was shot in New South Wales. He appears in Nine Network's drama After the Verdict, as well as Sullivan Stapleton and Magda Szubanski. In the biographical series Last King of the Cross for In the biographical series Last King of the Cross for Younes will appear as John Ibrahim.
