Darryl Kevin Richardson (born January 19, 1984), better known by his stage name Lil Scrappy, is an American rapper and record producer. When performing at a bar in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, Richardson was discovered by producer and performer Lil Jon.
Lil Scrappy, along with labelmates Trillville, was one of the first signings to Lil Jon's BME Recordings.

Career
The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil Scrappy (2004), Lil Scrappy's first album, was a split-release, with Trillville songs representing one "side" of the disk and Lil Scrappy songs resembling the other. According to Billboard's 200th anniversary, the album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.
On December 5, 2006, Lil Scrappy's debut album Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live was released on Reprise Records. Lil Jon produced the album, which includes appearances by 50 Cent, Bohagon, Lil Jon, Olivia, Three 6 Mafia, Young Buck, Young Dro, and Yung Joc. Young Buck appears on the first single "Money in the Bank" and is Lil Scrappy's second most popular single. Money in the Bank soared to number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, his most solo hit and most commercially profitable single in the United States to date, as it surpassed the peak position of "No Problem" by one single vote. Lil Jon appears on the second single from the album "Gangsta Gangsta" is the album's second single. "Oh Yeah (Work)" is the third single from Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live and stars E-40 and Sean P (formerly Sean Paul) of YoungbloodZ.
Prince of the South, Lil Scrappy's second album, was released on May 13, 2008 by Real Talk Entertainment.
Lil Scrappy joined the Disturbing tha Peace label in April 2009. Even though filming was complete on Just Another Day, he was supposed to tour the summer to promote his fourth studio album, Tha Grustle. He left Disturbing the Peace in November 2011 and that Bonzi Records would debut the album in 2012.
Prince of the South 2, Lil Scrappy's second independent record, was unveiled on October 19, 2010, just as his first solo album was released. Lil Scrappy's first single, "Addicted To Money," was released on September 8, 2009, but it didn't make it to the Billboard charts, so it was dubbed a promo single.
