About
Elaine Silva Moreira, a Brazilian drummer, was born Elaine Silva Moreira, but her stage name Lan Lanh is the most well known. When she was at university, she formed the band Rabo de Saia. They gained a cult following in the 1980s after signing with Wea Music. She went on to form Lan Lan Lan Lan Lan Lan and the Elaines, and then joined Emanuelle Araujo's band Windmill in the early 2000s.

She began playing guitar when she was 14 years old and drums when she was 16. She studied music at the University of Bahia.
