Career
Hoover made her television debut on MTV's Road Rules in July 1995, a reality television series that followed five to six strangers traveling from location to location in an RV. Hoover was hired as an entertainment reporter for American Journal as a nationally distributed newspaper show, owing to Road Rules. In 1999, she joined Fox News as a reporter for Fox Broadcasting Company's News magazine FOX Files, as a reporter for The Pulse and Celebrity Spotlight, and also co-hosted the former. Kit Hoover was also a host of FOX Rules.
Hoover joined ESPN in August 2003 as co-host of ESPN2's live morning show, Cold Pizza. On the two-hour program, she conducted live interviews and presented news and highlights. During her time on Cold Pizza, Hoover covered a variety of sporting events, including the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 2004 World Series, the 2005 World Series, and the 2004 World Series. She debuted in January 2004 as a reporter and field reporter for tennis tournaments including the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the French Open. She was withheld from serving in this capacity until July 2006, focusing on topics other than the tennis court, interviewing the winner, and reporting the latest tennis news while the tennis match was broadcast. Dana Jacobson replaced Hoover and her Cold Pizza co-host Thea Andrews in March 2005. She appeared on ESPN's reality television show Dream Job (2004–2006) for the show's three seasons as a judge.
She stayed with ESPN and continued her work on Dream Job and the tennis tournaments after. In September 2006, Hoover left ESPN for ESPN.
From October 2006 to July 2008, Hoover was a TV Guide Channel reporter. Hoover hosted Six Flags TV at the multiple Six Flags Theme Parks around the United States on July 27, 2008, based on the publication Real Simple. Hoover made her debut on Shaquille O'Neal's sports reality television show Shaq Vs. on the first weekend of the series's second season on August 3, 2010. She served as both the co-host and reporter on the show as well as the sideline reporter.
She has co-hosted Access Daily with various co-hosts since September 13, 2010 and is the current host of Access Hollywood's flagship program Access Hollywood.
