Kyan Douglas (born Hugh Edward Douglas Jr.; May 5, 1970) is an American television actor and stylist.

From 2003 to 2007, he was the grooming expert on the American television show Queer Eye.

Kyan Douglas Career

Douglas joined Aveda in 1999 and spent time in sales, then assisted in the establishment of the Aveda Institute, a hairstyling and grooming academy. He enrolled in the cosmetology program, and after graduating at the top of his class, he joined Arrojo Studio in New York as a colorist. He started working on makeover TV shows What Not to Wear and While You Were Out. A client at Arrojo told him about a makeover program that was being filmed in 2002. To the designers, Kyan sent a snapshot of himself and a short bio. They called him for an audition and quickly hired him as the show's "Grooming Guru."

Douglas has co-authored a book and appeared on a soundtrack CD and accompanying DVD based on the show, as well as appearing on numerous magazine covers and TV talk shows, as part of Queer Eye's "Fab Five." Beautified, his own book on grooming for women, was published in 2004 and he became a spokesperson and product advisor for L'Oréal. In 2004, he was also able to address Loyola University New Orleans.

He took over as host of Ten Years Younger on TLC in 2009, beginning with the show's fourth season.
