Kevin Feige Career

Career

He began working as a sous producer on Volcano and You've Got Mail. Lauren Shuler Donner was aided by him in early life.

He was hired by Marvel as a producer in 2000. Donner made Feige an associate producer on the first X-Men film due to his familiarity with the Marvel Universe. Avi Arad, who was hired as his second-in-command at Marvel Studios the same year, impressed him. Feige discovered in the mid-2000s that although Spider-Man and the X-Men had been licensed to Sony and 20th Century Fox, Marvel still owned the rights to the Avengers' core members and imagined a shared universe for the first time, as artist Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had imagined with their comic books in the early 1960s.

Feige was appointed president of Marvel Studios in March 2007.

Feige was named Youngest Showman of the Year at the ICG Publicist Guild Awards on February 22, 2013.

In 2019, Feige was awarded the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatric Motion Pictures by the Producers Guild of America. Feige is reportedly directing a Star Wars film for Lucasfilm, according to a tweeter on September 26, 2019.

Feige, in addition to being President of Marvel Studios, was named chief creative officer for Marvel Comics, Marvel Television, and Marvel Animation in October 2019.
