As one of Britain's biggest rock bands they played to millions of adoring fans, but it was a moment behind the scenes nearly 15 years ago to the day that broke up Oasis. The long hiatus of the group can be traced to an extraordinary backstage brawl between the Gallaghers at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris on August 28, 2009. Just before they were due on stage, founding brothers Noel and Liam traded blows in a vicious fight which saw Liam smash Noel's guitar after hearing he was quitting. Medical staff and security were called, and Noel confirmed the gig was off - which marked the official end of Oasis who at that point had sold 50million records. Now, the fracas has come under the spotlight again amid heightened speculation that an Oasis reunion could finally be on the way with an announcement tomorrow.
