Estimates put the instrument's value at $1million minimum, though no one's sure how Keef came to part with the guitar, and the band's management say they'd like it back, please. Figures like that suggest the sheet-metal guitar investigated on Fake Or Fortune, rumoured to have belonged to Stones bandmate Ronnie Wood , could be worth more than even presenters Philip Mould and Fiona Bruce (seen on Thursday's episode with Chesney Hawkes) suspected.

You might expect a play about Mick Jagger and Keith Richards getting fitted up by the News Of The World in a 1960s drugs bust to centre on the Stones's front man and famously mind-expanded lead guitarist. And yet, you'd be wrong. It isn't even clear that Charlotte Jones's rowdy and entertaining new play, Redlands, is about the man who (eventually) got the rockers acquitted - one Michael Havers QC, later Attorney General. A major role for that other star of the Swinging Sixties, Marianne Faithfull, is less surprising.

One chain has achieved the next best thing by signing up the children of the notorious Nineties north London party group to promote its latest collection. The group of ' nepo babies ' - as such offspring of famous people are now known - included Kate Moss's model daughter Lila; Liam Gallagher's son Lennon and his cousin Anais Gallagher, daughter of Noel; Jude Law's children Rafferty and Iris Law; Keith Richards 's granddaughter Ella; and Clash guitarist Mick Jones's daughters Ava and Stella. And they proved to be just as raucous and glamorous as their parents as they partied into the early hours in the VIP section of a gig by Charli XCX in east London which started at 10.30pm on Thursday.
