Kathleen Aerts Career

Career

Aerts was a member of the influential girl group K3. The group was originally thought of as the Flemish version of the Spice Girls, but later became known for their children's songs. Since K3 was originally intended as the Flemish version of the Spice Girls, the group was made up of all females in their twenties: Aerts, Karen Damen, and Kristel Verbeke.

Since the debut of "Heyah Mama," K3's manager sold the band to Studio 100 in 2002. With merchandising, film, TV series, and books, the production company made the company an even bigger success.

In 2009, Aerts decided not to be a member of K3 but instead began her solo career. Unicef produced her first song, "Zumba Yade." In July 2009, the single ranked in the top three of the Dutch Single Top 100 and the top 20 of the Ultratop 50 in Flanders. She has sold more than 10,000 CDs in Belgium and the Netherlands. Aerts released Kathleen in symfonie in November 2009. The album contained twelve songs, one of which was a duet with Danny de Munk. Aerts made sure that part of the album's proceedings made it to Unicef. The decision came from her South Africa experience.

She became a member of the KetnetBand in 2010. She also decided to return to children's music this year, releasing a song titled "Boerderij blues" (en). (blues on the farm) She has also released three other songs for children. Kathleen Aerts, a wax figure of the Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam in 2007, was introduced alongside those of the other two original K3 members.

Aerts' "Die roos," Ann Christy's 'De roos" was her first Afrikaans single. A year later, she released the single "Afrika," also in Afrikaans, which was also included in the film F.C.'s soundtrack. Forever, De Kampioenen 3: Forever (2007). Lilly en Max, her third book, was released in September 2017.

In 2020, Aerts appeared on The Masked Singer, a television show in which the judges must guess the identity of the masked participant. She was reunited after a long time with Karen Damen, who sat on the jury of the program and correctly identified the masked mermaid as Aerts.
